MSN Name: sakkaa ii desu ne

Wow, k, its been a long time, but thats ok... lots has been going on, though doesn't it always!? Oms moved out on Dec. 23, 2004 to San Pen, which is much better for all of us (except maybe grampa) bit we're enjoying the freedom, and she's getting better care, so thats probably all good..

I'm now a Stelly's Stinger, doing grade 12 (again? more?) at Stelly's... I better bloody graduate in June lol (history is a bugger tho!) This sem. i have IDS art 12, lit 12, japanese 11 and psych 12. They're all great, except psych, which is pretty boring since noone wants to be there, the teacher has never taught it, and therefore knows nothing, and the TA in there is really condescending and frustrating. Comments like 'who's mozart' by some of the geniusses (probably spelled wrong lol) in my class are helping things much either. Mom thinks i should drop, but i'm not sure b/c i don't think iw ould actually get any more work done in history if i didn't have psych b/c it is a 4th block class...

Still doing ASL w/ christine, except now we do it at the otehr christine (we have two new people!) and crystal's houses, alternating. we also only go once a week, and even thats a struggle... we're all so tired! christine started working (more than once a month lol) and i'm back at school, so no more starbucks runs on tuesday am.

I basically like being at school, esp. art and lit, but i also feel sooo out of place there and ready to get the hell out of there. I don't want to be at a 'different place in my life' :s... I def. want to be like 25 right now. at least, but still in uni lol, just no w/ the 'amazing' people who go to stellys (or are 18 in general)....

Hugh's b-day is tommorow, so at soccer today (g-hood div one women) we surprised him with: a single cupcake (from kimber) cookies (from briony) a card (from all of us) a card shaped like a penis (from kimber), a decorated board (kimber, katie g, dee, and briony) and a chelsea tracksuit (all of us)... it was great :) we played world cup pretty much allnight which was sooooooo funny "Dee, you can't touch her THERE", "The Spidey has Fallen!" if we win the next two games and therefore the league, we've been promised a 100% world cup practie (with costumes) Riley and i are brigning out the life jackets :) nothing like compressed foam to boob it in the net...

k, carpal tunel setting in, i'm heading to bed (well 7th heaven, but same differnece)

MSN Name: and the winner is... LOTR (x11) Maddie are you happy tonite?
Date: Feb. 29th 2004 (LEAP DAY!!!!)
Time: 9:50 pm

And on the Oscars, btw - Yawn, LOTR, double yawn (ducking desperatly from Maddie, Maggie, Katie, Hugh, etc etc etc)
Happy Leap Day everyone, still wishing today was my b-day, it seems that if i'm not going to have parties or anything anyway, i might as well have a good excuse for it.. So, to the 22 million weirdos out there, happy birthday

picked out my grad dress a few days ago, or the pattern anyway, seems I'll probably go to the GNS grad, a few people have asked me to go, so I think i will, esp b/c I won't get a grad. I wonder how I'll feel not grading w/ everyone. I'm sure I won't care, but I'm not looking forward to answering the ??'s

anyway, the pattern is here : http://www.simplicity.com/designFrame.cfm?designId=9040&design=5235

(didn't I mention? I'm making it!) I'm going to go to Chintz and get fabric there. I really want bone/ivory silk for the main part, ideally w/ embroidered butterflies or dragonflies, and then soemthing like a deep red or orange for the back part. I'm very excited!! I'm going to try and do it really slowly, and mom definatly will be helping me a lot! (have you ever tried to pin your own seams? its not pretty)

I've been sewing a lot recently - 2 skirts, shorts, 2 pairs of floods, a sleeveless haltertop, a sarong/tie thing to go over one of the SEE THROUGH pairs of floods, and my latest project, a light grey wool duffel coat i got at value village and am vastly alterig - took it up about 2 ft, taking it in, changing the buttons, adding trim, re working the collor etc. at 7.99, its not a big risk all around...

Sooooo tons of soccer (cause what else is new) a little worried b/c at the game today my shin injury from before xmas started to act up. I'm going to try and get a physio appt. at some point tommorow b/c the Gorge game is this saturday and I HAVE to be able to play... plus, i just have tons of soccer. as long as i can't do permanent damage, i don't care. for instance tho, tommorow i have soccer from 2 15- 5, and then from 6 30- 8. its basically like that the whole week

GNS soccer has started which is why i'm soooooo busy. however, slight issue in that i'm not playing for claremont. we need to find some reason why i'm playing for gns and not for claremont. i'm just waiting for the house of cards to come crashing down and not let me play. fuck that.

ummm in other february news - mom almost died (not so good, but she's fie now.) - check out her blog to read more.

on friday went to Debbie Travis which was sooooo good!!! went to the home and garden show first, and met her, she was soooooo nice!! such a sweetie!! then i went over to her show, glad i got there soooo early - i got great seats. she was soooo funny! such a brit, and great humor, tons of sexual innuendos lol...

anyway.... thats about it i guess... not too much to report...

MSN Name: Joey we need to do a design day soon
Date: Feb 1st/04
Time: 11 38 pm

Spent the evening designing and working on Sheffield stuff. Feeling more generous to soccer (ya, i would prolly miss it a bit) and a little less gym deprived (tho i still want to go for an hour/week)
d
MSN Name: No idea, it won't let me on to change it
Date: Feb. 1/2004
Time: 9:12 pm

Oh god I just watched Perfect 10 on CNN a documentary about gymnastics. I had no idea i missed it soooooo much!!!! like crying the entire time i'm watching it much.... Vic Gym has a homeschool thing where i can go once/week for an hour and just basically mess about... its like 29/mo. I really really really want to do it b/c I only have time for that, but at least i could do it a bit, and be back in a gym.

I wonder what I could still do? basically nothing on beam, vault and bars lol, but up to a year ago i was still throwing ariels, ro,bh/bh, or ro/bh/bt and stuff like that. The adult program sounds sooooo good!!! m/w for a couple of hours, and focuses on floor and tramp which is what i want to do the most. its a bit of a conflict w/ soccer but i could prolly work it out...

its sooo weird how much i miss it. I could probably quit soccer tommorow on not really care, tho this year i kind of want to make the bc team (but no one hold their breath, i'm not even id'd yet this year) but i mean i like it and i'm fairly decent, but its not the same thing. Its not like in 10 years i'll cry every time i watch it (or watch it period).

also still desperatly looking for a job, really really really shitty. so depressed about it all, and if anyone mentions it.....

ugg lost a contact

MSN Name: The Home Depot Opens a New Store Every 43 HOURS!
Date: Jan. 25/2004
Time: 10:14 pm

SO, soccer was the theme of the last two days and systematically sucked and then was good again. I was soooo looking forward to the Gorge game (for the league title) having come off a wicked week of training, and having envisioned all the plays I was going to make as a right striker (or left stiker, or even, heaven forbid, centre forward.) Of course, as I show up to warm up, all pysched up and ready to go, it all goes terribly wrong. Hugh starts by stressing me out with his talk before the game (so you've had a great week in training, really leading the team with you aggression. if everyone plays like that today we'll be great... etc....) and then... he Left bloody midfield! So, tons of pressure, from me, and numerous (mostly imagined) outside sources, a big game, and a new position to boot.

As we all knew it would be, it was bad. Now, not terrible, and in fact, last year, the terrible metro year, it prolly would have been a good game (shudder) but there were a lot of combining factors to make it seem shitty (the fact I was 27.8 by the end i'm sure didn't help)... We ended up winning, 3-1, Maggie (PK), Heather, Heather. Not a great game, but fine after 2.5 months without a proper game, and on grass even.

After the game, left w/ mom (abandoning green pea, who's under the weather lately) and went to Home Depot, where I found out about flooring for Joey (if you read this, email me about it...) and got stuff for the infamous upstairs l/r. also ixnayed g'pas FUGLY piece of laminate/melamine/particle board (not even MDF) furniture he wanted us to spend 85$ on. I'm gonig to salvage/refinish something instead. (does anyone have a 32inch wide, 34.5 inch wide cupord (w/ doors) for sale under $75?

Also found out about their career fair, tommorow which I'll go to, and get shot down at, but what the fuck, went to bolens, and continued (and subsequently, todaay, finished Who's Your Caddy, a totally hilarious book about golf. (its funny really)).

Today, more soccer, this time a game at Beacon Hill (blech) against the U21 Dunbar women's team. they are 2nd in the Vancouver U21 "a" league.

We won 1-0, assisted by yours truly, on a hopeful looping, far post, top corner shot that might have gone in except for the fact the keeper had arms longer than Katie Eddy. Luckily, she fumbled it through her arms, over her head, and Laura put it in. Only endured a few gravel burns, so overall happy w/ that. Felt much better about my game today.Of course, no pressure, barely any subs, gravel etc. in general, a much better state for my mind to be in.

Went to Chapters and bought my DEBBIE TRAVIS TICKETS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! sooooooooooo excited!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Feb. 28th!!!!!!! yahooooooooooooooo

then, bolens again, ate lunner... soft taco, and finished the golf book, also did the table, doctor suess themed.. very easy, all the pull was from one shelf :)

then, mom went to a drumming thingy and since she was nervous, I went w/ her to hold her hand... it was funny, took the healing time of hickeys (good book) and was planning on reading in the thin edge of the wedge but they were shut, so walked from the fernwood village to the pandora mcdonalds for no apperant reason other than to kill time, get a drink, dodge numerous sketchy people, and figure out tha tthe hill between fernwood and the mds is actualy much bigger than it seems when you are in a car...

then, back to the community thingy, now armed with liquids, a province, my book, and moms notebook, in which she wanted to me spew poetry.... (ummm yea)

then, BACK to bolens, via starbucks (tazo chai latte (mom - got her hooked on them w/ my homemade one last night) and a vanilla latte for me). read, browsed, etc. then back home to my blog...

going to grab a snack before feeding the animals (ugh) etc before bed. we'll see how the thingy bob at HD goes tommorow, my predicition. Not well. Not well at all.

MSN Name: Naked on the First Tee (Happy Birthday Julie)
Date: January 24/2004

About to run out to soccer, and will update later today, but I just wanted to blatently copy and paste this on here. I've seen it in email a few times (as you all prolly have), and I think its hilarious...

A BLANKET APOLOGY TO THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA

>

>Courtesy of Rick Mercer from This Hour Has 22 Minutes CBC Television:

> On behalf of Canadians everywhere I'd like to offer an apology to the United States of America. We haven't been getting along very well recently and for that, I am truly sorry. I'm sorry we called George Bush a moron. He is a moron but, it wasn't nice of us to point it out. If it's any consolation, the fact that he's a moron shouldn't reflect poorly on the people of America. After all it's not like you actually elected him. I'm sorry about our softwood lumber. Just because we have more trees than you doesn't give us the right to sell you lumber that's cheaper and better than your own. I'm sorry we beat you in Olympic hockey. In our defense I guess our excuse would be that our team was much, much, much, much better than yours. I'm sorry we burnt down your white house during the war of 1812. I notice you've rebuilt it! It's Very Nice. I'm sorry about your beer. I know we had nothing to do with your beer but, we Feel your Pain. I'm sorry about our waffling on Iraq. I mean , when you're going up against a crazed dictator, you wanna have your friends by your side. I realize it took more than two years before you guys pitched in against Hitler, but that was different. Everyone knew he had weapons. And finally on behalf of all Canadians, I'm sorry that we're constantly apologizing for things in a passive-aggressive way which is really a thinly veiled criticism. I sincerely hope that you're not upset over this. We've seen what you do to countries you get upset with.

anyway,. i'll let you all know what happens in our game today. We're gunning for the league championship!

Time: 8:30 pm

So, just got back from soccer. it was soooo good :) We did moves, one on one in the gauntlet, one on one tourny and then world cup!!! I came 1, 2nd, 4th (i think) It was all fun stuff, and great for me to work on...

Earlier today, we had a 4 hour study session at Romeos' for ASL... I was SO done at the end of it!! Our Final is tommorow. I'm so glad that we did our video thing already. Tommorow, we study for 2 hours, and then we have the test tommorow night. I'm hoping its done early so that I can bugger off to bolens' and help w/ the homeschooling night/make terrible jokes with Joey etc.

Watching 7th heaven, which has been on for soooo long! oh, the trauma on this show :) its brilliant :)

Then. american idol, which i'm taping, b/c the first episode is the only time in the world when someone sings worse than me.

MSN Name: Mmmmm KD and pears

Date: Jan 15/2004
Time: 9:41 pm

Sitting here eating, (what else) KD and pears.. yummy!! Just got back from ASL. We have our final exam on tuesday. I got the pop quiz back - 16.5/20. Would have helped if I'd understood the concept of a sign compound a lil better :)

Tommorow Chrystal and I are going to Christine's house to video our Stories and comparision thingys for the test. Since we are allowed to pre record to save time, it also means multiple takes :)

Shooting begins at 9:15 am (after an hour and 10 minutes of school :p ) and we blocked most of the day to do it, but I hope we'll be done by 12-1ish. Tommorow night is family night so we're going to a movie. Everyone wants to see Calander Girls , but since it's only at Capitol 6, and Oma doesn't go there, then it'll probably be Along Came Polly... If we do go to Calander Girls we'll prolly see Christine and her husband, cause they're going to it

Today I actually asked Louise a couple of questions, which I don't think I've done before - 3 in one class!!! Also managed to avoid Vanessa talks-a-lot lol... (if you think I'm bad......... whooo boy)

This pear is really mushy :p

Started the Sheffield Stuff today which was oooo much fun!!! the tape is cool and you follow along in the books, and do activities, and its all very beuracratically awesome :)

Warning: I'm gonna need a living room to play with soon... any offers?

i'm going to bed, my computer is dying and my back hurts :p
